POHA RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

  • Poha or flattened rice – 1 bowl
  • Coriander leaves – some sprigs ( chopped)
  • Onion – 1 medium sized
  • Peanuts – 1 tablespoon
  • Peas -2 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida – 2-3 pinch
  • Curry leaves – 5-6
  • Turmeric- 1/3 tsp
  • Sugar – 1 teaspoon {optional}
  • Green chilies – 2-3
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Oil for cooking – 1 tbsp

 

PROCEDURE

  • Soak the poha in water for half a min & then strain it gently.Now sprinkle chopped coriander leaves on it,leave it for at-least 20 minutes.

  • Heat a pan & add mustard oil to it.
  • Saute peanuts in low flame for 2-3 minutes .
  • To the same pan, add mustard seeds, asafoetida,curry leaves & saute for few seconds.
  • Then goes chopped onion, saute till it gets translucent.
  • Add peas, saute for 1 min or till it become tender.
  • NOTE- Here i am using frozen peas but if u are using fresh peas then saute them a little more.

  • Add turmeric powder & salt, saute for few seconds.
  • Now add soaked poha with coriander leaves to the pan.
  • Mix it gently,add sugar and lemon juice.
  • Cover the pan with lid for 1 min in low flame.
  • Switch off the flame & garnish it with some sev.
