  • Rawa/semolina – 1 bowl
  • Curd – 1/2 bowl
  • Veggies – capsicum,Onion,green chillies (finely chopped) – 1/3 bowl
  • Curry leaves -7-8 (finely chopped)
  • Turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
  • Black pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Mustard oil / melted butter for greasing the appe pan and appe.
  • Mustard seeds – 1tsp
  • Salt to taste


  • Put a frypan in medium flame.once it gets heated, add mustard seeds and curry leaves,saute for 1minute.
  • Now add chopped veggies and turmeric powder ,saute for 2 minutes in medium flame.IMG_20180629_075132
  • In a mixing bowl, add curd, rava, sauted veggies,black pepper powder and salt and keep it in rest for 30 minutes.Adjust consistency with water,batter should not be of running consistency.IMG_20180629_083843
  • Put appe pan on low flame,once it gets heated,grease it with butter or oil and put the batter in pan cavities.IMG_20180629_084120
  • Cover with lid and cook for 3-4 minutes in low flame.
  • After 3-4 minutes, flip it and cook for another 3-4 minutes.IMG_20180629_084412
